Where can I find your domains?
Our domains can be found at most major registrars and marketplaces like GoDaddy, Network Solutions, Sedo, Undeveloped.com, and more. They can be purchased through the registrar path, marketplace, or directly with us through a reputable escrow service like Escrow.com or Payoneer Escrow.
Why do your domains have premium pricing?
If you’ve been searching for a domain, you may have noticed that all the good domains have already been registered. We carry an inventory of premium domains that have been carefully selected and acquired throughout many years, using our experience and proprietary metrics. Nearly all of our domains have been won through auctions or bought from other private owners, so they cost more than domains that are available to register.
Is the price a one time cost?
Yes, the price of the domain is a one time investment. Once you purchase the domain, you only need to cover your registrar’s yearly registration costs. Registration costs vary from registrar to registrar, but usually range between $10 to $30 per year.
Are your prices negotiable?
Generally, no. Unlike other marketplaces and sellers, who don’t price their domains so they can “size you up” and make you go through lengthy negotiations, Mega Domains prices domains up front and has a fast and easy check out process. The vast majority of our sales are at the list price. However, we do offer payment plans if you would like to space out the payments.
We may consider an offer extremely close to the list price, but keep in mind that there are also times after manually reviewing the domain that we decide to increase the price.
How does the payment plan work?
We use a third party, Undeveloped.com, to allow you to purchase domains with a payment plan. The cost of the domain can be financed for up to 12 months, interest free! After making your first payment, the domain will be transferred to Undeveloped.com’s escrow account, where it is held until the payments are completed. You will immediately be able to use the domain and redirect it to your website or point the nameservers to your hosting plan. After you have completed the payments, the domain will be transferred to the registrar of your choice and you will become the new owner.
What is the buying process like?
If the domain is purchased through a marketplace (GoDaddy, Sedo, Undeveloped.com, etc.), you submit the payment to them where they verify and hold the funds until the domain is transferred to you. And if you buy the domain directly with us, then we use a reputable escrow service like Escrow.com or Payoneer Escrow which protects both the buyer and the seller. The escrow service verifies and holds the funds until you receive the domain.
How long does it take to complete the transaction?
Depending on the channel, it takes anywhere from 1 to 5 days to process your payment. Once the funds have cleared, if you take the domain at its existing registrar, you can typically receive it within 24 hours. Transfers out to different registrars take anywhere from 1 to 7 days.
